The Ghost of Stolen Summer

The Ghost of Stolen Summer‘ is a new theatre show that I am developing in collaboration with Gemma and Dick Bonham, Emma Gordon, Claire Marie-Seddon and Bay Brian. It is inspired by Gemma’s lived experience of developing a chronic illness in her late thirties, which forced her to permanently leave work. It is about a present haunted by the past, and the specter of an auspicious future. It is a darkly comic ghost story and folk musical for disabled and able bodies audiences (and those that exist in a world between these identities).

The show has been commissioned by Harrogate Theatre, although for obvious reasons things have been on hold for a while. More news will follow.
